Mia is a 10 year-old Lab-mix.\u00a0 The fun-loving sister of Mondego<\/a> and another of KindBunch\u2019s mascots.\u00a0 This wild gal was found wondering the streets with her brothers and sisters at a mere 5 weeks of age.\u00a0 Their mother had been run over and they were left to fend for themselves.\u00a0 7 brothers and sisters.\u00a0 Huddled together, hungry and alone, with traffic crossing their path.<\/p>\n

Luckily a good soul saw them and called a local rescue to take the little ones to safety.\u00a0 Mia managed to hide under some rocks and, while her brothers and sisters were easy to scoop up to safety.\u00a0 But she was left behind.\u00a0 For 3 nights, the frightened lass lay waiting under some rocks.\u00a0 To make matters worse, there was cold, thunder and a lot of rain that March.\u00a0 But on the 4th day, when the storm moved on, one rescuer returned, and she heard the desperate, lonely yelps of little Mia. This time, the frightened lass was caught and brought to safety.<\/p>\n

The fear of those frightening nights have never left her.<\/p>\n

The plan was for her human mother to foster while the rescue searched for a forever home.\u00a0 Meantime, she met Mondego and Nikki<\/a>, who taught the young one the basics of home life.\u00a0 It didn’t take long for foster mum to realize that this was yet another failed foster situation.\u00a0 The tiny pup was growing into a boisterous, happy, loving, funny little girl and the whole family loved her.<\/p>\n

Now at 15 years of age, nothing much has changed.\u00a0 She is still the neighbourhood\u2019s boisterous, happy, loving, funny little girl everyone loves.<\/p>\n

Mia is not looking for a home.\u00a0 Her human mum is Crissie<\/a>, who built this platform in memory of Mondego.\u00a0 And this listing is only active to showcase how the KindBunch Appeals directory will work for future members, and, most importantly, to give an opportunity for all other young ones to find their own forever family.<\/p>\n

Update<\/strong> : My beautiful girl passed on 24 March, 2026.\u00a0 She was 15 years old.\u00a0 KindBunch was built for her and she will forever live in this space.\u00a0 Rest in peace my sweet girl.
