How it works

A tour of the kindBunch platform

Jane Goodall

"Above all we must realize that each of us makes a difference with our life. Each of us impacts the world around us every single day. We have a choice to use the gift of our life to make the world a better place - or not to bother"

Making business accountable for animal welfare

The business sector earns billions of Euros each year from veterinarian services, medication, food, pet accessories, pet insurance, you name it. We want to take a portion of those profits and pass it over to animal rescues.

It’s time to make the business sector accountable.

An introduction to our community

Our community works, feels and looks a lot like Twitter. Or Facebook. There’s a timeline. Users share stuff - text, photos, videos, podcasts, links, etc.

The difference, though, is huge. On Twitter and Facebook, we all share our stuff. And for every post, like or share, it is Twitter and Facebook who make money. Not us. And they make A LOT of money.

At KindBunch, for every post, like or share, YOU earn money. It’s not money you will withdraw for yourself. It’s money you will donate to an animal rescue.

Because that’s what we’re about. We raise money to support animal rescues. Not via donations. But with money raised via the business community. More on that later.

Raising money for animal rescues

So, every time you post something in our timeline, every time you “like” someone else’s post or every time you drop a comment, you raise “points”.

One point is worth €1. Based on today’s exchange, that’s about US$1.25 or £0.84, CA$1.56 or AU$1.75.

It doesn’t sound like much, but it all adds up. Just calculate how much time you spend a day on Twitter or Facebook. And how many posts you share a day, how many posts you like a day, or how many comments. It all adds up.

How we distribute money to animal rescues

So, we built a business directory. This directory lists business services that provides for pet parents - vets, pet grooming services, pet daycare centres, pet stores, etc.

It also lists all kinds of other businesses used by pet parents, like pet-friendly hotels, restaurants, hairdressers, etc.

For each listing, business owners pay €30 per month to our fund.

But, there’s more - you can book your next appointment with your vet via our directory. And when you do, your vet will pay The Mondego Fund €1. That’s about 5% of their average consultation fee - it's a fair deal.

You will pay the full consultation fee directly to your vet on the day of your appointment, as you always do. But, for receiving the booking via KindBunch, your vet will pay KindBunch €1 - and all of that money goes to animal rescues.

The Mondego Fund

The monthly listing fees are all paid in to our fund. This is where all the money goes.

And this is where your “points” come from too. When you post something, you are paid in “points” by the fund.

In our fund, we are full-on with transparency. Everyone who is minimally involved with animal rescues on social media knows there is a problem with dubious characters taking advantage of our goodwill and scamming people out of heartfelt donations.

The point of having a public ledger is to counter this. Accountability saves lives.

So, the fund registers every single dime received and paid. Anyone can track the public ledger.

We launch in September 2025.
