When winter hit The Netherlands swift and hard, within one night canals were frozen. Birds, especially ones that originate from the Nile in Egypt, don’t really understand what’s happening, so a fatal mistake is easily made… And the ducklings born that morning wouldn’t see the next day if I would not interfere.
