Orphaned albino elephant Khanyisa and her new herd take a walk to the dam

This is surely one of the most spectacular scenes from Khanyisa’s bush walks with the herd! The grandness of the gentle giants, the brilliant blue sky, the little albino calf… 💚🐘

On this new journey to the dam, the little calf moulds so perfectly into the protective embrace of the bigger elephants. Lundi takes the lead, with Tokwe walking behind Khanyisa – who lets out the odd distinctive rumble here and there!

It’s so sweet to see another little one, Timisa in the centre of the herd with Khanyisa at times. The elephants take in the scents of the bush and move with each other in harmony and grace, with Elephant Manager Tigere, Adine and her son Xander closeby.

At the dam, Khanyisa stands beside her adoptive mother, Lundi while the herd enjoy a late morning refreshment after their time in the bush. The little calf then heads back to the orphanage with Lundi, allomother Bubi and the humans, ready to put her feet up with Lammie.
