These are Mink not Ferrets.
I can’t help but notice some of the suggestive comments people make about doing this for their ferrets.
Just because a Mink and Ferret are in the same family group ‘mustelids’ does not mean they like the same things.
Mink like to swim. Most ferrets do not. Just because they are capable of swimming, doesn’t mean they enjoy it.
Do not force your ferret to swim.
In the wild a ferret would have no need to go in water as they prey on small land mammals and rodents. While a Mink is considered a semi-aquatic mammal and prey on a lot of aquatic creatures such as crayfish, frogs, and ducks!
