The Privilege of watching Albino Elephant Calf Khanyisa’s mornings with the Jabulani Herd.

Another day in Khanyisa’s new and happy life!

Now and again we have to take a step back and appreciate the miracle this brave little albino orphan is! How amazing it is to see all of the ghastly wounds from the horrific snare healed, her scars fading, as we watch her foraging in the wild among loving and protective elephants that have accepted her into their family.

Observing her as she enjoyed another calm and peaceful walk with the Jabulani Herd by her side (and front and back!), gives us such immense joy and hope through these hard times.

Khanyisa spent quite a bit of time with Bubi and Klaserie again, (watch for her sweet trunk-dusting action again!), but always goes to Lundi for reassurance. It is also interesting to see how she usually stays behind Lundi when going for walks.

It is such a privilege to watch how her new life journey with the herd unfolds day by day!
