Nikki

This grand lady is a 15 year-old athelete.  Adopted by her human, Crissie, in 2010 as a life companion for Mondego who, at the time, was forced to spend most of his days alone at home while Crissie worked in the capital.  We took Nikki in on a trial for a week during the Christmas holidays, but it took only minutes for us to know that Nikki belonged with us. And so here we are, 11 years later and still together.

Nikki loves nothing more than a jog at the beach.  Her slight figure and lady-like posture stops crowds, who delight in her athleticism.  Other than turning on the crowd, Nikki also enjoys lying on her private sofa. Loves to stretch out in the sun.  Dislikes the rain.

At the grand young age of 15, Nikki is now a full-time vegetarian dog.  This year, she was diagnosed with kidney disease that was very quickly regulated with a turn in her diet.  And the raw/cooked mix of fruits, vegetables and plant-based proteins have turned her around and given her a new life. Nikki is not looking for a home.  Her human mum is Crissie, who built this platform in memory of Mondego.  And this listing is only active to showcase how the directory will work for future members.

Update : In November of 2023, our grand lady Nikki went to sleep.  At 17, her bones were weary and her tired body gave in to the long sleep.  Rest in peace, my lady.  You are and always will be in our hearts.
